Sect 1/2
Today in class we did two activities applying proportions - map scales and indirect measurement.
Well, the sun did not cooperate today, so the indirect measurement activity will have to wait.
Homework: complete map scale activity sheet if you did not finish during class. Make sure to answer every question.
Also, I will be collecting our previous (back 5.1/5.3) homework assignment for a grade. Students could hand it in today for a couple extra points.
Sect 3/4/5
Today in class we worked on problem solving with fractions.
We also worked on a quiz practice sheet for a fraction assessment.
We will have a take-home quiz for this unit. Students will be given the quiz for homework on Monday afternoon. It will be due for ALL classes (even if you don't have math Tuesday) first thing Tuesday morning. Students will be given specific instructions on the types of resources that are permitted for the take-home quiz.
