Sect 1/2
Today in class: returned quiz; discussed writing a value that is "out of 100" as a fraction, decimal, or percent.
We can express an amount out of 100 three ways - as a fraction over 100; as a decimal in the hundredths place; or with a percent sign. We reviewed the front of yesterday's worksheet (friendly ratios since denominator is a factor of 100). When the denominator is not friendly, divide to get a decimal, then decimal slide to write as a percent.
Homework: complete the back of the worksheet. This is due Tuesday because of our special Monday schedule. Those students who were in class finished during class. Casady athletes - please see me MONDAY (do not wait until class on Tuesday) if you are having troubles with it.
Sect 3/4/5
We reviewed the fraction re-quiz in detail. In sections 3 and 5 we also reviewed parts of the Ratio guided notes handout. The first two sides (not the third proportion page) are due Monday for sections 3/5 and Tuesday for section 4. Section 4 students who missed class today should see me MONDAY to get any questions answered. Do not wait until class on Tuesday.
